Oakland Park Conservation Club Baitcasters Seminar

posted May 24, 2016, 3:22 PM by Jason Reidler
Hello All,

The Oakland Park Conservation Club will be hosting the annual Baitcasters Seminar this year on the weekend of June 17th, 18th, and 19th. There will be lessons for participants, plenty of good food, a raffle, and 2 fishing derbies. This is always one of the Scouts favorite campout because of the great campground, the awesome food, all the Scouts getting to hang out in the bunkhouse, and the chance to build a big fire in the huge fire ring. The Scouts will travel around during the day on Saturday to different lessons about fishing, trapping, conservation, and water safety.

There are 2 forms that are required to register for the event. Both forms can be found at the bottom of this page. They are the registration form and the waiver. Please read both documents carefully before filling them out. The forms and the fees are due on Monday June 6th at the Troop Meeting. Please remember that if a parent is going to the campout they should fill their name in the sponsor slot. If they are not attending they need to write in Troop 98 as the sponsor. Also, please make sure you write in the previous years you have attended the seminar. This means anyone attending for the first time should fill in "0". Please note the added cost for participating as a 4th or 5th year youth.

You do not need to purchase any fishing equipment for this event. If you have gear that you enjoy using you can bring it with you, or use the equipment provided by the club. The fee includes Saturday Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner, along with Sunday Breakfast.

If you have any questions about the forms or the fees please contact leaders@troop98gahanna.info
